Refrigerator-Freezer-Window Air-Conditioner Rebate Information

VMEU offers rebates for refrigerators and freezers larger than 10 cubic feet in size and various room air-conditioners. To obtain a rebate stop by City Hall and pick up a rebate form or click this Link to print your own rebate form.

Purchasing a new freezer and filling out the rebate request will net you $25. LIMIT 1 REBATE PER METER LOCATION.

VMEU offers limited appliance recycling for working refrigerators, freezers and room air-conditioners in conjunction with the purchase of a new unit. Turning in your old freezer, refrigerator or room air-conditioner will net you an additional $50 reward for recycling it. Contact this office at 319-472-4813 to get details on what to do with the old unit.

Purchasing a new Energy Star® labeled room air-conditioner and filling out the rebate request will net you $50 based on the following qualifications:
 
Less than 6,000 Btu; 10.7 EER
6,000 to 7,999 Btu; 10.7 EER
8,000 to 13,999 Btu; 10.8 EER
14,000 to 19,999 Btu; 10.7EER
20,000 Btu or greater; 9.4 EER
